NEW CONCORDIA — Drivers headed through the industrial district should expect closures, checkpoints and the occasional government employee wearing enough protective equipment to survive the moon.

Access around the Wren Correctional Research Annex remains restricted while investigators process several floors of the facility.

The annex sits behind New Concordia’s industrial complex, where roads designed for warehouses and delivery trucks were already unpleasant before authorities added emergency vehicles, evidence teams and residents trying to photograph the crime scene.

“This route was bad when the only danger was getting boxed in by three semis,” said one delivery driver. “Now people are stopping because they heard there’s a pig-man.”

Transportation officials are urging motorists to use major roads around the district rather than smaller industrial access streets.

Facility records indicate prisoners and other subjects were transported through the building by secured vans using a vehicle elevator.

At least one facility vehicle is currently unaccounted for.

Travel through the district should improve after authorities lift restrictions.

The emotional damage to anyone who learns what happened inside may take longer.
